The Anthem of Australia - "Advance Australia Fair" - composed by Peter Dodds McCormick in 1878. In 1984, Bob Gock&aposs Labor government replaced God Save the Queen after a survey of Australians showed that "Advance Australia Fair" is the most popular option new anthem. The song Advance Australia Fair was first performed publicly in Sydney on November 30, 1878. This one With a song, a choir of 10,000 people greeted the creation of the Australian Union on January 1, 1901. For thirty years after the first execution, the government awarded McCormick a hundred pounds. The song was widely used in official events and in advertising, having no official status.
